POSITION INFORMATION

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, the service technician is responsible for the satisfactory completion of all required training programs; for managing prescribed territory to pre-set standards; for successful execution of tasks assigned by immediate supervisor; for effective product and sales support; for positive communications with both customers and staff; providing after-sales support to our customers in the area; installing, repairing, and performing emergency and preventative maintenance on Ricoh products in accordance with the highest standards of technical service.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Post secondary education, preferably in an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Certification (Net+ Comp IA PDi+)

SKILLS:                          

  • Knowledge in PC, Windows, Office, software for documents management..           
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve customer support
  • Analytical and problem solving skill
  • Product and Technical knowledge of digital multifunction device
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written     
  • Relationship building skills

OTHER:           

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle
  • May be required to work overtime to meet business demands          
  • Warehouse maintenance & housekeeping as requested/required
  • Management experience an asset
